Hi all!
I'm looking at possibly buying a new set of headphones. my other set broke.
anyhow. when I was using them the stario worked fine (hearing things out of both ears..), but whenever I had a pc game that I had to hear out of say, the left speaker and the right speaker (only) it wouldn't work. It was like the headphones weren't "knowing," the difference.
Gah, does this make sense man I hope so!
any ideas on why and what I can do/buy to not have this happen? So as I can tell what is in the right ear v.s. the left?
Thanks so much!

You need a pair of gaming headphones. Some have even saround sound, or 3D now.

If you have an I device, I phone, I pad, I pod touch, you can use the earbuds that come with it. I use it to play games, and they work good for stereo sound. You shouldnt have a problem using them on a laptop

You don't necessarily need gaming headphones specifically, especially if the games you play don't include voice chat features. Sure, 3D and surround sound is nice, but there are other headphones that support this, and they will be labeled accordingly. Any stereo headphones will work, though, and more expensive isn't always better. Before you replace your headphones, though, make sure your sound card isn't set to mono. Is it just the game you are experiencing this problem with? When you listen to music on your computer, for example, do you hear it in stereo? From what you describe, it sounds like you are hearing the game in mono. Keep in mind this isn't the same thing is hearing the sound in only one channel, (I.E. just the left or just the right). That's another issue altogether.

just a comment or two on buying headphones. Recently, I've shopped at the local TJ max to find head phones. I've bought several very nice sets of skull candy buds and phones for under 15 bucks, these would cost nearly 5 times that in best buy ETC. just a thought on where you can look!

Also the razor line of sets are nice as well, in particular the pirahna model. You do pay a bit extra, but it's well worth it, as well as sennheiser line is good as well, in particular the pc156 set.

IIt simply does not make sense that your games would not come out of your headphones at all.
Will the game come out of your laptop speakers when played?

I love the Shure SE535 all the way.
Make no Mistake. You do get what you pay for.
if you are in the markit for headphones, checkout headphone.com (the company is HeadRoom) all kinds of headphones, very good and accurit descriptions and if you need help you can call.
